Field Junction Unit (FJU)~'Field Junction Unit (FJU)' is for extending the bus system and accommodating 2 ultrasonic microphones. They are available for portable of fixed systems

For a portable system high quality push fit connectors are used for rapid deployment, whereas the fixed system uses screw fit connectors for permanent installation.

The FJUs are magnetic for easy mounting on switchboards. Each channel has a corresponding activity LED.

Panel mount~For internal monitoring of switchboards the panel mounting microphone accessory allows for permanent installation. The perforated aluminium screen provides a continuous faraday cage whilst allowing ultrasonic emissions to have direct access through the panel. (Note: only for fixed installations)

Ultrasonic microphone~Ultrasonic microphones contain an active preamplifier providing 20dB gain whilst internal shielding provides an extremely low noise signature. They are also extremely tolerant to conducted noise due to their internal shock absorbing design.

Microphones are available in three lengths; 1, 2 & 3m, and are terminated for either portable or fixed applications.

Gooseneck microphone stand~Gooseneck microphone stands allow rapid installation due to their magnetic base, and accurate positioning of the microphone due to the conformable neck.

The stands are 300mm long and accommodate a single ultrasonic microphone.

The units are suitable for portable or fixed systems

Ultrasonic Transmitter~The ULTRASCAN ultrasonic transmitter is used for testing partial discharge monitors. The unit is a simple ON/OFF transmitter which provides a continuous burst of ultrasonic energy in order to trigger any ultrasonic microphones which have been installed in the system.

The transmitter can also be used to find leaks in vessels (in conjunction with an ULTRASCAN hand-held Leak Detector).

The unit is powered from a 9V PP3 alkaline battery.

Bus Cables~Bus cables allow additional FJUs to be added, thus extending any system by one or two microphone positions. They can be added at any point in the bus as the system is self-learning.

Bus cables come in various lengths all fitted with 12 pin plugs and sockets. Heavy duty 7mm screened cable is used. All connections between FJUs are screw locked.
